Races

A Terran and a Vasudan

Various races exist in the Drifting Souls 2 universe. Some can only be played by NPCs, some are not even playable by NPCs. In the Drifting Souls 2 universe, various races exist. Some can only be played by NPCs, some are not even playable by NPCs.

• The races Vasudan and Terran partly define the available researchs, buildingss and shipss and therefore do not only denote races in the biological sense, but also determine playable differences.
• The NTF, GTU, GCP, and Shivaner races are races that can only be played by NPCs. They give the NPCs certain role-playing and game-technical characteristics.
• The Uralte and Aljaši-Marée races are biological, but not role-playing races. They have role-playing meanings in particular, so they occur in the role-playing game and are part of the game without player or NPC accounts existing that are descended from their race.

• Biological races in this context describes a term for a group of individuals of the same biological species, e.g. humanity.
• In-game races are not necessarily a biological species, but give their bearer various in-game advantages, such as special buildings, ships, or units.

Aljaši-Marée

The Aljaši-Marée were considered an extinct race centuries ago. When their production facilities were rediscovered in 2405, they succeeded in putting them back into operation. The technology of the Aljaši-Marée, especially their weapons and ships, are still on par with Terran and Vasudan technology and therefore very popular. After the Aljaši-Marée invasion in 2407, it became known that the race was not extinct after all. However, the intentions of the Aljaši-Marée could not be ascertained. In the end they were fought by the colonists and the invasion ended. Where the invading forces had come from and how many Aljaši-Marée still live there is not known.
