The hit probability (HP) (German: Trefferwahrscheinlichkeit, short TWS) of a weapon depends on the base value of the weapon, the values of the officerss, and the size of the attacking and defending ships.
Change by ship size[]
own ship > enemy ship | own ship < enemy ship |
---|---|
(enemy ship size/own ship size)-1 | -((own ship size/enemy ship size)-1) |
Maximum change is +/- 0.4.
Final HP = HP + HP * change by size + HP * change by officer
Change by officer[]
navskill > defskill | navskill < defskill |
---|---|
navskill/defskill - 1 | -(defskill/navskill -1) |
navskill = navigation skill(navigation skill of the own officer) * Propulsion %(Propulsion state of the attacking ship)
- (for ships without an officer: navskill = ship size)
defskill = (navigation skill(navigation skill of the defending officer) + command efficency(commad efficency skill of the defending officer)) / 2 / ship skize(Value of the defending ship)
- (for ships without an officer: defskill = 1)
Maximum change is +/- 0.4. Change due to untrained captain is always +0.4.
Final HP = HP + HP * change by size + HP * change by officer.
Bonus hit probability for untrained captain by ship size[]
TWS Bonus | 1 | 2 | 6 | 8 | 10 | 13 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 0 | 0,4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
2 | -0,4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
6 | 0 | 0 | 0,4 | 0,65 | 0,8 | 0,8 |
8 | 0 | 0 | 0,15 | 0,4 | 0,6 | 0,78 |
10 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0,2 | 0,4 | 0,63 |
13 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0,02 | 0,17 | 0,4 |
Torpedo defense[]
The torpedo defenses (Tdef) of ships (GlobalTdef), weapons (OwnTdef) and fighters (FighterTdef) reduce the hit chance of torpedoes.
Calculation of the hit probability of a torpedo:
Note:: A torpedo always hits its target at least 5% of the time. Accordingly, a general TDef above 95% is not possible. Furthermore, it is not possible to increase the maximum hit probability of a torpedo. |
