The hit probability (HP) (German: Trefferwahrscheinlichkeit, short TWS) of a weapon depends on the base value of the weapon, the values of the officerss, and the size of the attacking and defending ships.

Change by ship size[]

Maximum change is +/- 0.4.
Final HP = HP + HP * change by size + HP * change by officer

Change by officer[]

navskill = navigation skill(navigation skill of the own officer) * Propulsion %(Propulsion state of the attacking ship)

(for ships without an officer: navskill = ship size)

defskill = (navigation skill(navigation skill of the defending officer) + command efficency(commad efficency skill of the defending officer)) / 2 / ship skize(Value of the defending ship)

(for ships without an officer: defskill = 1)

Maximum change is +/- 0.4. Change due to untrained captain is always +0.4.
Final HP = HP + HP * change by size + HP * change by officer.

Torpedo defense[]

The ship Hallein fires two torpedoes each at the ship GVCv Sobek three times. The first and third time, one torpedo each is intercepted. The second time, all torpedoes hit (excerpt from the battle log).

The torpedo defenses (Tdef) of ships (GlobalTdef), weapons (OwnTdef) and fighters (FighterTdef) reduce the hit chance of torpedoes.





Calculation of the hit probability of a torpedo:

Tatsächliche HP = HP(of the Torpedo according to data sheet) - GlobalTdef - OwnTdef - FighterTdef

GlobalTdef = Torpedo defense capital ship * Capital amount / Capital ships in the 1st row
Joining and fleeing ships are currently counted here.
OwnTdef = HP against Torpedoes of a weapon * Amount (for guns with ammunition, ammunition equal to the number of guns is consumed per torpedo)
FigherTdef = (Torpedo defense fighter * Fighter amount - Torpedo defense enemy Fighter * enemy fighter amount) / Capitals in the 1st row
(Only fighters which have a landing place on a carrier ship in the battle count. However, these landing sites are first occupied by bombers.)

Note:: A torpedo always hits its target at least 5% of the time. Accordingly, a general TDef above 95% is not possible. Furthermore, it is not possible to increase the maximum hit probability of a torpedo.
